Alaina Alexander is a 24 year old contestant in Season 6 of American Idol. She resides in West Hollywood and auditioned in Los Angeles where she sang Michael Buble's "Feeling Good." Alaina has always had a passion for singing, stating that her mom said she started singing before she began talking. Her first memory musical memory was singing and humming songs to herself on the playground at the age of five. [1] She has been struggling to make it in the music business and was planning to attend college if she did not make the cut at the auditions. Her favorite judge is Simon Cowell because he "keeps it real." She likes the Beatles and Mariah Carey is her favorite female artist. She has no formal singing experience beyond participating in choir in high school. She graduated from Redlands East Valley High School in 2000.
Alaina grew up in Redlands California, where her mother and stepfather still live. She is the second oldest of eight children.
